Thank you for using iFind. We value your privacy and the security of your personal information. This Policy explains how iFind accesses, processes, stores, and protects relevant data when providing features such as item records, location management, image storage, lending reminders, backup and restore, security protection, account login, membership benefits, and cloud sync, as well as how you can manage such data. Please read and understand this Policy before using the app.
Important note: iFind follows a local-first data approach. If you are not signed in or have not enabled cloud sync, the item data you create is stored locally on your current device by default and will not be automatically uploaded to the cloud. After you sign in and use cloud sync, relevant data will be synced to the cloud based on your actions for cross-device sync and data recovery.
1. Scope and Developer Information
This Policy applies to the current version of the iFind Android app and subsequent versions that expressly reference this Policy. The app name is iFind, and the privacy contact email is support@good-apps.net. The developer name shown on the Google Play Store page, together with this app, is used to identify the service provider.
This Policy does not apply to services you access through system sharing, email clients, file managers, Google accounts, Google Play, cloud drives, or other third-party apps. Data processing rules for third-party services are provided by the respective third parties.
2. Data We Process and Purposes
iFind mainly processes data that you actively enter, select, or authorize for the purpose of providing core app features, including:
- Item data: item names, notes, categories, tags, important status, creation and modification times, used to record, display, search, and manage items.
- Location data: location names, hierarchy, location notes, and item location history manually created by you, used to help you remember where items are stored. “Location” here refers to storage locations entered by users, not device GPS location.
- Category and tag data: category and tag names, colors, and usage relationships created or edited by you, used to organize, filter, and search items.
- Image data: images you take with the camera or select from the system photo library, used as item photos, covers, and previews. When saved, images may generate in-app copies and thumbnails for list display and detail viewing.
- Lending data: borrower name, lending time, expected return time, return status, notes, and lending history, used for lending registration, return management, and reminders. Please only enter information you have the right to record.
- Security and preference settings: app lock status, auto-lock duration, biometric unlock switch, background privacy protection, screenshot protection, reminder settings, language, theme, list display settings, and similar data, used to provide security protection and personalized experiences.
- Backup and restore data: backup files you actively create, import, export, or restore, used for local backup, export, verification, and restore.
- Account data: when you register, sign in, or use Google Sign-In, we may process user ID, username, nickname, email address, login token, device identifier, and similar information, used to create accounts, identify login status, provide membership benefits, cloud sync, and account management services.
- Google Sign-In information: when you choose to use Google Sign-In, we only use basic account information provided by Google, such as account identifier, email address, or public profile information, to quickly create or sign in to an iFind account. We do not read your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar, or other unrelated data.
- Purchase and membership information: when you purchase ad removal, unlock all features, or subscribe to cloud sync membership through Google Play, the app and server may process product ID, order ID, purchase token, subscription status, entitlement status, and related verification results, used to confirm whether purchases are valid, grant or revoke entitlements, restore purchases, and process membership status. Purchase tokens are used to query purchase status from Google Play and are not fully displayed in the interface.
iFind does not actively collect contacts, SMS, call logs, health data, or precise geographic location. Except for content you actively enter or select, the app does not use device GPS location as the data source for the item location feature.
3. Local Storage, Cloud Sync, and Data Security
If you are not signed in or have not enabled cloud sync, items, locations, categories, tags, lending records, images, and related settings are stored locally on the current device by default.
When you sign in and use cloud sync, the app will upload items, locations, categories, tags, images, and some user-visible settings used for sync to the cloud, so that your data can stay consistent across your devices and be restored after changing devices or reinstalling the app.
To protect your data security, iFind takes reasonable technical and organizational measures, including but not limited to:
- Using local databases and managed file directories to store app data.
- Applying encryption or secure storage measures to managed images, thumbnails, databases, or some sensitive settings.
- Providing app lock, biometric unlock, auto-lock, background privacy shield, and Android screenshot blocking.
- Applying necessary hiding, hashing, encryption, or server-side storage measures to sensitive credentials such as purchase tokens.
- Providing cloud sync only when you are signed in and have the corresponding entitlement.
Please note that no security measure can guarantee absolute security. Please properly protect your device lock screen password, app lock password, account password, backup files, and important credentials, and install system security updates in a timely manner.
4. System Permission Usage
iFind only requests or uses system permissions when required by relevant features. You can revoke permissions in system settings, but corresponding features may not work properly.
- Camera permission: used when you choose to take photos for item images.
- Photos, media, or system photo picker: used when you actively select item images from the photo library. The specific permission type depends on the Android system version.
- Notification permission: used to send lending due reminders or related notifications. Turning off notification permission will not affect item management, but you may not receive system notifications.
- Biometric capability: used to verify fingerprints, face recognition, or other system credentials registered on your device, in order to unlock the app or verify sensitive actions. iFind does not read or store your biometric templates.
- File selection and saving capability: used when you actively import, export, or share backup files through the Android system file picker to access files or directories you select.
- Network access: used for account registration, login, Google Sign-In, membership status refresh, purchase verification, cloud sync, privacy policy access, and necessary service connections.
5. Third-Party Services, Data Sharing, and Transfer
To provide current features, iFind may use the following third-party or platform services:
- Google Sign-In: used for Google Sign-In and only obtains basic account information you authorize.
- Google Play Billing: used for purchases, subscriptions, purchase restoration, and membership entitlement verification.
- Google Play Developer API: used for server-side verification of purchase or subscription status.
- Cloudflare services: used to provide account, membership, purchase verification, cloud sync, image object sync, and related API services.
- System sharing, email clients, or file managers: used only when you actively choose to export, share, provide feedback, or select files.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your item data, location data, lending data, or images for advertising profiling unrelated to the app’s core features.
Data may be transferred or shared in the following scenarios:
- When you sign in and use cloud sync, relevant data will be uploaded to the cloud for sync and restore.
- When you use system sharing, backup files or other content may be sent to the app, contact, or service you choose.
- When you tap a feedback entry and send an email through an email client, the email content, recipient address, and related information generated by the client will be processed by your email service provider.
- When you make purchases or subscriptions through Google Play, purchase-related information will be processed by Google Play and used by us for entitlement verification.
- When required by laws, regulations, judicial procedures, or valid requests from competent authorities, we may process data within the scope permitted and necessary by law.
6. Data Retention, Deletion, and Uninstallation
Local data is generally retained until you delete it in the app, empty the recycle bin, restore another backup that overwrites existing data, or uninstall the app.
When you delete an item, related records and managed images may first enter the app’s recycle bin or pending deletion process. After permanent deletion, the app will attempt to remove the corresponding local records and managed files.
If you enable cloud sync, local deletion, modification, or restore operations may be synced to the cloud. Cloud data is generally retained until you actively delete it, perform synced deletion, clear data, or the account service processes it according to applicable rules.
Uninstalling the app usually deletes data in the Android app private directory, but backup files you actively export to public directories, external storage, email, cloud drives, or other apps will not be automatically deleted when the app is uninstalled. You need to manage those files in the corresponding locations.
If you wish to delete your account or cloud data, you may use account or cloud sync related entries in the app, or contact us through the email address at the end of this Policy. To protect account security, we may need you to provide necessary information to verify that the request comes from the account owner.
7. Your Choices and Rights
To the extent permitted by applicable laws, you may:
- View, modify, export, or delete data you entered through app features.
- Choose whether to register, sign in, or use Google Sign-In.
- Choose whether to enable cloud sync.
- Manage camera, photo, notification, and biometric permissions through system settings.
- Manage purchases and subscriptions through Google Play.
- Stop using and uninstall the app.
- Contact us regarding consultation, correction, account deletion, or cloud data deletion.
Because some data is mainly stored on your local device, queries, exports, or deletions involving local content usually need to be performed on your own device.
8. Protection of Minors
iFind is a general item management tool and is not specifically designed for children. Minors should use this app under the guidance of a guardian and should not enter unnecessary sensitive personal information. If a guardian finds that a minor has entered inappropriate information, they may delete the relevant records on the device or contact us for further information.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this Policy due to feature changes, third-party service adjustments, legal or regulatory requirements, or platform policy requirements. Material changes will be notified through in-app pages, release notes, the official website, or other reasonable methods. The updated Policy will indicate a new update date. Please pay attention to relevant changes before continuing to use a new version.
10. Contact Us
If you have any questions, comments, or complaints about this Privacy Policy, data security, or iFind’s product behavior, please email us at: support@good-apps.net
We will review and handle your message within a reasonable period. To protect your privacy, please do not include your app lock password, full purchase token, full backup key, or other unnecessary sensitive information in your email.
